Suranne Jones is back with a star-studded drama on ITV, which was inspired by her dreams. Maryland follows distant sisters Becca and Rosaline as they head to the Isle of Man.
But this is no holiday; they've received upsetting news that their mother's body was discovered on the island. The girls have no idea why, or what she was doing there in the first place.
The siblings have grown apart over the years, but together they begin to unravel their mum's web of secrets. Shockingly, Becca and Rosaline uncover that she was leading a double life - and now they have to live with the consequences. Suranne previously told The One Show the idea for the drama had come to her in her dreams. One particular night, she says she woke up and wrote down the words: 'sisters, house, double life.' She added: "The logistics of a double life has always fascinated me - like how do people do it and get away with it?" She also told The One Show she had 'manifested' a Hollywood star for a role in the drama.
