Leah Jones was over the moon when she settled into her new terraced house in Plymouth, Devon, complete with a Mediterranean-style garden featuring bamboo along one side.
To make the most of it, the family decided to create a cosy seating area adorned with twinkly fairy lights. However, they were oblivious to the potential problems of bamboo until Leah's father-in-law mentioned he had read about its invasive nature.
