The UK Jewish Film Festival 2024 will return to Manchester next month with a bustling line-up of movies - including some big award-winning productions before they are released in the UK.
With screenings taking place at HOME, Cineworld Didsbury and the Vue cinema in Bury, the festival spans across international films, documentaries and shorts.
Having first taken place in 1997, the event now attracts 15,000 film fans each year nationwide. This year, the festival - which runs from November 7 to 20 - will feature movies starring the likes of Succession actor Kieran Culkin, The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg and Entourage actor Jeremy Piven. READ MORE: New Netflix true crime film with near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score branded 'insane' by viewers The festival’s Opening Gala at the Didsbury cinema on November 7 will include a screening of A Real Pain, which recently won the Screenwriting Award and was also nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival 2024.
The film stars Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg, who also directs, as two cousins who embark on a tour of Poland in honour of their beloved grandmother.
