Hamilton Accies debutant Dean Lyness admits it was a "bitter blow" to suffer a third defeat on the spin and insists the team must bounce back on Tuesday night with three points at Stirling Albion. The goalkeeper was handed the gloves on Saturday but it turned into a debut to forget as Accies lost 2-1 to a late goal and saw midfielder Kyle MacDonald taken to hospital after a horror head clash.Lyness couldn't do much to stop Alloa's strikes as a Kurtis Roberts screamer and a Jon Robertson effort did the damage, either side of Euan Henderson's leveller for Accies, all in the second half. But he hopes to hold on to a starting slot on Tuesday when they tackle the Binos, having replaced the injured Jamie Smith between the sticks. The ex-Airdrie and St Mirren keeper said: "It is unfortunate we couldn't get something from the game."The result was a bitter blow to us and we've got to bounce back on Tuesday."It is disappointing for everyone but we've got an opportunity to get back to winning ways as soon as possible, to get us to where we want to be towards the end of the season."Our prime focus is getting three points on Tuesday."When you get in the team, you want to play every week and hopefully I can do that."As a goalkeeping department, we support each other and back each other, but Tuesday is an opportunity for me to play again and we'll see what happens."On MacDonald's head clash with Alloa midfielder and ex-Accies Miko Virtanen, Lyness said: "Hopefully Macca is doing okay and that is the main thing.

Fingers crossed it isn't too bad for him."It is never nice seeing that but you are professionals and you know he is being looked after so you just have to try and switch back on."Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onX via@LanLiveSport,
