Teen boy rushed to hospital after 'acid attack' as police launch probe

Police have launched a probe after a teenage boy was rushed to hospital following an 'acid attack'.Emergency services raced to Vaudrey Road in Stockport, Greater Manchester, after the alarm was raised at around 10pm on Sunday.

Officers said that the boy was attacked with a 'corrosive substance', suspected to be acid.As reported by the Manchester Evening News, he was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is described as 'stable and not life-threatening'.Detectives believe the attack was 'targeted' and say there is no threat to the wider public.
