The mum of an Aberdeen man who died in jail has hit out after an investigation into his death was delayed again. Warren Fenty was 20 when he died from a drug overdose at Kittybrewster Police Station in the Granite City in 2014.His mum, Sharon Fenty, has been waiting nearly ten years to find out what happened.

The inquiry into his death is now the one that has taken the longest in Scotland. It's been delayed lots of times. Sheriff Principal Derek Pyle was supposed to tell us what he found out this week, reports Aberdeen Live. But now Warren's mum has been told she won't get answers until next month.

This is because there are some problems with technology, some expert reports aren't ready, and Sheriff Pyle is away for three weeks.

Sharon Fenty spoke to the BBC and said she got an email about the delay. She feels very upset and said: "It's been a complete mess from the beginning.Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland. No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team. All you have to do is click here if you're on mobile, select 'Join Community' and you're in!If you're on a desktop, simply scan the QR code above with your phone and click 'Join Community'.We also treat our community members to special offers, promotions, and adverts from us and our partners.
