Good Morning Britain viewers were left cringing as Ed Balls faced backlash for his "inappropriate" line of questioning to co-presenter Christine Lampard.
During a live video-link chat with Christine, who was gearing up to present ITV's Lorraine at 9am on Monday (July 29), Ed Balls couldn't resist diving into one of the day's most contentious debates is it ever acceptable to urinate in a public swimming pool?
The conversation took an awkward turn when Ed quizzed Christine about her own habits in shared waters. Initially, it was Ranvir Singh who broached the subject, asking: "A quick yes or no, pee in the pool yes or no? " Christine responded firmly: "I heard this earlier on and no is the answer.
I try to tell my children not to and now a swimmer has come out to say everyone does it! That goes against everything I've been teaching." However, Ed Balls wasn't satisfied and probed further: "Are you really saying no ever, Christine?
