George Bowie anthem raises funds for Lanarkshire charity

Top DJ George Bowie has teamed up with a Lanarkshire charity by releasing a single to raise awareness and funds for its vital work.

All proceeds from his remix of 90s trance tune Shine by The Space Brothers are going to the Catherine McEwan Foundation, which supports patients with and research into Crohn’s disease and colitis.

The charity was set up by East Kilbride resident Derek McEwan in memory of his late mum, who had severe Crohn’s disease and died aged just 37 – and he says he has been “blown away” by the support of his long-time friend in creating the charity track.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
