Fiona Phillips shares heartbreaking Alzheimer's update as she praises husband for support

The 62-year-old shared her diagnosis earlier this year, saying it had come after suffering months of brain fog and anxiety. Fiona witnessed both of her parents battle the disease and said at the time it had ‘ravaged’ her family and had now ‘come for’ her.Fiona is currently taking part in a clinical trial at University College Hospital London, searching for a cure, and said that her husband Martin, 64, was a big support for her.
Speaking to The Mirror on World Alzheimer's Day, she said: "I’m living with it by not letting it ruin things. I am just carrying on as much as I can.
It’s when I talk about it that I can’t quite believe I’m talking about myself - I’m used to talking about it in relation to my mum and my dad having it.."She continued: "My whole family have been slaughtered by it.
