Celtic youngster to sign professional deal as Hoops see off transfer interest for Under-18s starlet
dailyrecord.co.ukCeltic youngster Jacob Donnelly has signed a pre-contract with the club ahead of penning a long-term professional deal.The Scotland under-16 cap who currently plays for the Hoops under-18s has signed a pre-contract with Celtic that kick in come July.
It will see the young midfielder sign a three-year deal professional deal with the Parkhead club. Celtic have seen off competition from clubs down south to keep the highly-rated starlet.
The Hoops were keen to sign the teen first, showing the intent for other age groups of the pathway available to climb the Parkhead ranks.There have been many success stories of the Celtic academy, with the likes of former star Kieran Tierney and current club Callum McGregor coming through each level of the system of Lennoxtown.
