Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

An extreme sports fanatic 'lost everything' after he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Stuart Abel, 47, from Kirkintilloch, was told he had the debilitating disease in November last year after losing strength in his right arm.

The keen snowboarder and mountain biker first began to experience symptoms in late 2021 but was initially diagnosed with dystonia - a condition which causes muscle spasms - and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) before his symptoms worsened.The former security guard first noticed something was wrong when his arm dropped to one side and went stiff while he was working at a nightclub in Glasgow.He said: "I was working at Sanctuary nightclub in December 2021 and I felt my right arm drop to the side.

I couldn't move it and thought it was strange but it happened again later that night. "I realised my mobility wasn't right and I wasn't strong in one arm.

I went to the doctors and was diagnosed with dystonia. I thought I could live with that."It started to get worse so I went back to the doctors in June 2022 and they told me I had Functional Neurological Disorders.
