Following the character's tragic death, which occurred on the day of his son's wedding, fans were left rather emotional, with Wednesday night's episode causing fans to become even tearier.
Rishi's son Jai, who recently discovered that Rishi was biologically his uncle rather than his father, was left surprised when Rishi's lodger Tom revealed that Rishi had prepared a final gift for Jai.Tom shared the gift, revealing that Rishi had digitised all of their family pictures and put them onto a USB stick, which Jai later sat down and watched with his family.
As the photos flashed across the scene, Jai broke down in tears, as did the viewers at home.Taking to Twitter to share that they had been left in tears at the sweet scenes, one fan wrote: "The photos were lovely I was crying with Jai #emmerdale" "Rishi, bless him #emmerdale" added another, while a third said: "Rishi as a Blueberry!
