And just when viewers think it can’t get any worse for Belle, Emmerdale actress Eden Taylor- Draper reveals that it will. As Tom King (James Chase) tightens his grip on Belle by literally watching her every move, she continues to search for a way to escape from him.
But this week Belle discovers she’s pregnant – and what might be happy news for some, is devastating for her. “Belle isn’t in the headspace to have a child – even though that’s something she’s probably always dreamt of, coming from such a big family like the Dingles,” sighs Eden. “She knows it’s not right to bring a baby into the world in the current situation she’s in.” After discovering her pregnancy, Belle is determined to keep it quiet until she can organise to go to a clinic.
But her plan doesn’t quite work as Belle is forced to confess she’s expecting when Tom raises a hand to her. “It’s a horrible moment,” admits Eden. “And Belle has already thought, ‘I don’t think I’m going to keep this child.’ Then, in the moment, Tom is raising his voice, he’s towering over her.
