Eli Roth is due to return to direct and write for the upcoming series with Chris Briggs, who also co-wrote the 2005 film.Deadline Hollywood also reports that the TV series will be an “elevated thriller with Roth’s trademark kills” and “a modern reinvention of the horror franchise”.
While details remain scarce, Paul Giamatti has reportedly signed on to play a key role in the Hostel TV series.2005’s Hostel centers around a group of American tourists who where convinced by a stranger to journey from Barcelona to Slovakia, where they are kidnapped by a secret and dastardly organization who lure and hold tourists captive for rich clients to torture and kill them for fun.
It starred Jay Hernandez, Derek Richardson and Eyþór Guðjónsson, and was executive produced by Quentin Tarantino.Hostel has spawned two sequels.
