The victim was targeted last week, and police have today issued a warning. "The woman was at Warrington Interchange when she was approached by two women who insisted that she had dropped a £10 note earlier and they were trying to return it.
While the victim was checking, one of the offenders pushed a £10 note into her purse, with the other interjecting and distracting the victim. "Whilst distracted, cash and cards are stolen from the victim’s purse.
The two women then proceeded to withdraw a quantity of cash from the victims bank. PC Graham Davies of Warrington Local Policing Unit said: “Thankfully, on this occasion the woman has received a full refund for the money that has stolen, but this may not always be the case.
