EastEnders watched in horror as Stacey Slater's stalker Theo Hawthorne was allowed to walk free during a court hearing in Monday's episode, as she attempted to get a Stalking Protection Order put in place.
Theo has been tormenting Stacey over recent weeks after she rejected his advances and figured out he was her secret client on an online sex cam website. The school teacher has since moved in next door to Stacey and her family and continued to watch her every move.
Monday's episode opened with Stacey's ex-husband Martin Fowler finding photos of the mum-of-three hung across Albert Square, leaving him furious after realising it was down to Theo. The incident prompted Stacey to decide to attend the court hearing in a bid to tell her own story, after previously saying she wasn't going to attend as she didn't want to relive all of the details of her stalking ordeal.
While Stacey's solicitor had all of the facts and delivered an emotionally charged speech about how she's suffered recently, Theo's lawyer managed to twist Stacey's claims and dismiss them on the grounds of lack of evidence.
