Dundee will reportedly be "hammered" by the SPFL after their clash with Rangers was called off. The late postponement of the lunchtime Scottish Premiership clash denied the Light Blues the chance to return to the top of the table – with Celtic going into the international break at the summit with heavy rainfall on Tayside wrecking the chances the key fixture going ahead.
For Dundee it is their fourth home game of the season to fall victim – leaving Philippe Clement furious as he warned league bosses over the standard of the Dens Park pitch.
It was the only game throughout the SPFL to be postponed due to the weather and the governing body of the league appear to have taken a dim view having already announced a probe of the incident.
The Daily Mail now claim there is "every chance the Tayside club will be brought to book over the fiasco."The SPFL's rules state that: "Each club shall ensure that the field of play at its registered ground and at any other ground at which it is the home club for a league match or play-off match is: Smooth and in good condition and repair.
