Duke of Westminster's wedding targeted by Just Stop Oil with well-wishers left screaming as bride hurried away

A large crowd of well-wishers were left gasping in shock after the protest, which was timed for the moment the wedding party - including Prince William - left Chester Cathedral this afternoon.There were shouts of "no way" and "you idiot" as police swooped on a small group of people causing a disruption.Two women were arrested on suspicion of public order offences, Cheshire police said.
One onlooker is quoted as saying: "Everyone was watching the bride and groom and then we just saw orange and they had what looked like a fire extinguisher with them. "The police realised quite quickly what was happening and pulled them out.

Just Stop Oil named one of the protesters as Polly, 73, a Norfolk care worker and quoted her as saying: "“Weddings are a time of coming together in celebration to make a commitment to the future. "However, for countless millions around the world there is no future unless we come together to stop oil and gas.That’s why we are demanding that the next UK government work with other countries to phase out fossil fuels by 2030.” One critic fumed: "You fools.
