The ITV soap was an emotional watch on Monday night (September 9) as Paul Foreman tragically died, 17 months after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, the life-limiting illness for which there is currently no cure.
After months of his health deteriorating in front of his own and his loved ones' eyes, Paul was rushed to hospital as he struggled to breathe and later, after doctors informed his family there was nothing more they could do but make him comfortable, Paul took his last breath in tragic circumstances. But in a heartbreaking twist, Billy was unable to say goodbye after a series of events delayed his efforts to get there. However, the trio of women weren't honest as Paul had already passed when Billy was on the phone.
