A commuter has opened up on her frustrations after they were "mugged off" after making a kind gesture to a homeless person.

The train passenger was travelling through London Victoria when they spotted a woman sitting on the floor at the station. As they passed, the homeless person asked her for spare change, and although they didn't hand over any money, they offered to buy some food for the woman, to ensure she had something to eat. However, what happened next left the passenger feeling taken advantage of and, when retelling their story online, they said: "No good deed goes unpunished", My London reports.Sharing they story on Reddit, they titled the post: "I got mugged off by a homeless person." The commuter told how the homeless woman had accepted the offer of a meal and asked for a burrito.

The pair then went to a nearby stall, where the poster claims the person they were helping ordered the most expensive option - which came to £10.50 - and then walked off after “barely muttering a thank you".The post, which was written on the journey home, read: “I was in Victoria train station and a homeless lady goes up to me and asks for change, giving me the sob story about how she’s sleeping in her car tonight."I don’t know why but I felt bad and said although I don’t have change I’d be happy to buy her something to eat.

She asks for a burrito, I said 'sure'. Bad shout. "She then marches to the burrito stall and demands the most expensive option, barking orders for extra beans, rice, cheese, the lot.
