It looks like iconic singer Cher won't be watching her son, Chaz Bono, marry his fiancee, Shara Blue Mathes after he 'banned her' from their wedding.
Despite their close relationship, Chaz has decided not to invite his famous mum amid fears over her attention-grabbing antics, writes The Mirror. This comes after a bitter legal battle over control of son Elijah Allman's assets, who faces addiction issues.
Elijah blamed Cher for causing problems in his reunion with his wife, Marieangela King. Despite trying twice earlier this month, the court ruled against Cher, claiming she didn't give Elijah's teams enough time to rebut her request.A source told In Touch magazine about the situation between Chaz and Cher: "Chaz and Shara are removing Cher from the guest list entirely and don't feel too bad about it either."They added: "They want a simple ceremony with none of Cher's theatrics."Cher's representatives have not yet responded to the Mirror's request for comment.
The source revealed that the relationship began to crumble when Chaz came out as gay and transitioned in 2008.They said Cher tried to support her children, but they didn't want "anything to do with her." The singer discussed the transition on CNN in 2020, reflecting on how she grew as a parent during that period.
