A yellow weather warning is in force as the region braces for heavy rain. 'Some disruption is likely', warns the Met Office, with downpours are expected from 3pm today (Saturday) to 6pm tomorrow.
The yellow weather warning comes with guidance that bus and train services will probably be affected with journey times taking longer, spray and flooding on roads will likely make journey times longer, the 'flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely', and some interruption to power supplies and other services is likely.
The yellow weather warning covers much of the country, stretching from Cornwall and across the south coast all the way up through the north west and to the north east, missing only Scotland.
