Coatbridge school Buchanan High welcomes therapy ponies, marks Lots of Socks Day and aces St Andrew's Ready for Life Programme

Lucky pupils at a Coatbridge school excelled during a cracking course, put their best foot forward and saddled up to welcome some four-legged friends in a series of fun and educational activities.Buchanan High youngsters took part in the St Andrew's Ready for Life Programme, celebrated Lots of Socks Day and enjoyed a visit from therapy ponies.Senior phase pupils "fully embraced" the St Andrew's Ready for Life Programme, a two-day event which focused on emergency first aid at work and learning about mental health awareness.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
