Channel 4's Great British Bake Off leaves viewers surprised at 'exit twist'

The Great British Bake Off was back on Wednesday night following a schedule shake-up which meant it was moved from its usual Tuesday night slot as the remaining bakers got to work in the tent for the iconic chocolate week.Temperatures were not only high outside weather wise but the bakers were also left "sweating" under the pressure with the warmer climates not helping matters as they started off with the signature challenge to make a chocolate torte.Dan, who has been a tipped favourite to win the Channel 4 show, was left in hot water after having to start over whilst his fellow bakers were decorating and Matty's was let down with his presentation yet again however his flavours saved the day.Tasha was forced to leave the tent during the technical challenge due to the overwhelming heat as medics were forced to intervene and she wasn't allowed to finish the task, which was set by judges Paul and Prue."Paul and Prue are expecting six identically identical chocolate cheesecakes," host Alison Hammond explained as the judges ranked the baker's technical challenge from best to worst as Saku came in last followed by Cristy.Matty came in second place and later won star baker which left the first spot for Dan saving the pair from their earlier disasters.Despite still having the 'chocolate box' showstopper to save the day, contestant Saku nearly waved goodbye to the tent this week having had a bad week on both her signature and technical challenge with her showstopper being "dry."Saku's chocolate torte signature was called "messy" on presentation and "too gooey and heavy" in the middle by Paul and Prue whilst she was forced to re-make her showstopper which was raw.Cristy was told her chocolate torte in the signature challenge was
