Buffalo Bills' Damar Hamlin Cleared To Play Following Medical Incident Earlier This Year

Damar Hamlin has officially been cleared to get back on the football field! The 24-year-old football player, who is part of the Buffalo Bills, has been given the go ahead to get back on the field, after he suffered cardiac arrest during a January 2023 game. Damar had to be resuscitated on the field and was then taken to a nearby hospital for after care. Keep reading to find out more… General manager Brandon Beane revealed the news to Bills fans on Tuesday (April 18).

He shared that Damar has been “fully cleared to resume activity”, as he has met with three specialists, and he will be taking part in the team’s off-season voluntary workout program.

At the same press conference, Damar also shared a statement on the news, saying that the incident was a “life-changing event, but it’s not the end of my story.” “The ‘wow’ moment is every day just being able to wake up and just take deep breaths and live a peaceful life, to have a family and people that are around me that love me,” he shared. Damar went on, “They almost lost me.
