Beyonce in 'Advanced Talks' to Bring 'Renaissance' Movie Project to AMC Theatres, Possible Release Date Revealed!

The 42-year-old superstar is in “advanced talks” to distribute a new project directly to AMC Theatres, sources with knowledge of the project told Variety. Keep reading to find out more… CAA reportedly held preliminary talks with major studios and streamers two weeks ago, according to another source, and urged them to “be ready to bid” on a project that has been in development for “years.” The project reportedly includes “elements of her top-grossing 2023 live shows, elements of the long-gestating visual album Renaissance and a documentary-style account of making the record and building out the tour.” Deadline adds that the release date for the Beyonce: Renaissance World Tour film will likely be December 1.
She reportedly shot Renaissance World Tour in her hometown of Houston back in late September for two days. She may even announce this as early as Sunday (October 1) when she stops in Kansas City, roughly 16 miles from AMC’s headquarters. “Status of this we understand is that AMC is still in talks on this theatrical release and it’s a similar set-up to Eras Tour with the circuit chiefly distributing to all other big exhibitors i.e.
Regal, Cinemark, Marcus, etc. and indie distributor Variance booking,” Deadline adds. The Renaissance World Tour is estimated to close out with over $560 million in ticket sales.
