Actor Joe Absolom looked worlds away from his days in EastEnders during a recent appearance on Loose Women, where he discussed a new career move.

Joe, 44, who played Matthew Rose on the popular BBC soap from 1997 until 2000, appeared on the daily talk show alongside his fellow ex-EastEnders star Louisa Lytton, 34.The two former soapstars have recently joined the cast of 2:22 A Ghost Story, with Louisa taking on the role of Jenny, and Joe set to portray Ben.

As Joe appeared on Loose Women, viewers were quick to take to social media to remark on how he looks rather different from his soap days.

One wrote: "Is that Matthew Rose from EastEnders? He looks so different now," as another added: "Wow Joe looks so good, can't believe he played that kid on Albert Square all those years ago." Since leaving EastEnders back in 2000, Joe has made a number of TV appearances, and regularly appeared in Doc Martin before the show came to an end in 2022.
