A new and improved Aldi store has reopened in North Ayrshire in a welcoming boost to the community.The bigger new-look Aldi store in The Braes, Saltcoats, reopened this morning following a significant refurbishment and extension.Saltcoats shoppers can now benefit from a more seamless shopping experience, thanks to the larger 1,127 square meters retail space and clearer signs.The new format has seen fresh bread and cakes moved to the last aisle – preventing them from getting squashed under customers’ shopping – alongside new, easy to browse freezers.Customers can also take a walk down the ‘Aisle of Aldi’, where they will find legendary Specialbuys, which are available every Thursday and Sunday.And during reopening week, the store will be offering a range of outdoor toys, including children’s tri to inline skates for £19.99, balance bikes for £29.99 and zinc tri scooters for £29.99 each.The extension works has created five new jobs in a welcome boost to the local economy, with the supermarket continuing to recruit for the Saltcoats store.Positions are available in stock and store assistants, store cleaner, store management apprentice and more.Store manager Paul Hamilton, who runs the store along with a team of 25 colleagues, said: “The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces, as well as new customers, and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available.“Hopefully the new-look store will make shopping at Aldi Saltcoats that bit easier and more comfortable.” Applications and more information on all of Aldi’s store positions can be found on Aldi’s recruitment website: www.aldirecruitment.co.uk/stores.Aldi The Braes, Saltcoats, will be open Monday to
