Stuart Kettlewell says the fact that he’s the fifth-longest serving manager in the Premiership is a disgrace, and says people need to be given more time.And he says young players will struggle for game-time in the top flight as long as club chiefs remain trigger-happy.Malky MacKay was the latest top-flight boss to be sacked from Ross County, which pushed Kettlewell up the managerial ladder.Only Livingston’s Davie Martindale, Derek McInnes at Kilmarnock, St Mirren’s Stephen Robinson and Aberdeen’s Barry Robson have been in their posts for longer – the latter of whom was appointed 12 days before Kettlewell.He said: “The fact that I now know I’m the fifth-longest serving manager in this division, and I’ve only been in post since February, is a disgrace.“I don’t think that’s right, I don’t think that’s conducive to any kind of development whatsoever.“If you have a plan and a structure in place, you want to develop young talent, and you want to try and build a way moving forward at a football club, you’re never going to do it in that space of time.“I sat down with a couple of guys from the SFA and they’re doing their rounds on trying to find out why our numbers are so low with young lads at 16-20 making first-team appearances, and that’s the answer to it.“I think we would be one of the teams that has a greater number in that.
