The BBC's beloved series Death in Paradise has inspired a new spin-off that's got everyone talking. A real-life look at Caribbean law enforcement, Policing Paradise is already in production, with an insider spilling to The Mirror: "It'll look at what the real life police get up to as opposed to the fictional ones in Death in Paradise - and there's quite a difference. "Viewers who are used to the crime being solved every week might find that reality is not quite so neat.
Just like the show's plots, there is a lot of murder but unlike them far fewer murders are actually solved - and certainly not within a few days. There aren't as many love stories either!
Real life is a bit more gritty." Set to air on BBC One, the documentary series from Spun Gold - known for its royal programming - is expected to grace our screens during daytime TV.
With the Caribbean notorious for its high crime rates, including the highest murder rate in the Americas, and a hotspot for tax evasion, this series promises to delve into the darker side of paradise, exploring not just homicides and financial crimes, but also rampant burglaries and car thefts.
