Ayrshire's Thorne Travel picks ups yet another major award

A multi award-winning independent travel agency with high street branches in both Kilwinning and Largs has been crowned the best small travel agency in Scotland.Thorne Travel added yet another accolade to their trophy cabinet after it picked up the top prize at the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards.The event took place at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel on Thursday, July 13 and was hosted by popular TV personality, Mark Wright alongside Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley.Winners were selected based on votes from travel industry suppliers, including tour operators, airlines, cruise lines and tourist boards, with some categories judged by expert panels.The award is a testament to the Thorne Travel excellence in a variety of categories, such as customer service, product knowledge, quality and value.It is also a follow-on from the company's earlier success, having been voted Scotland's Top Travel Agency in March 2023.Managing director, Shona Thorne, commented: "We are incredibly thankful to our growing customer base across the UK for their continued support and referrals.
