Stirling Albion boss Darren Young paid tribute to his side’s second-half display as they made the perfect start to life in League One on Saturday. On an afternoon where the Binos raised the flag to mark their League Two success, they produced another trademark fighting performance to edge out Edinburgh City courtesy of Cammy Clark’s fine free kick.In truth, Stirling were fully deserving of the opening win although they did have to survive a couple of close shaves as the Citizens aimed to spoil the party. The Binos manager said the match showed the tight margins at their new level – but feels Stirling laid down an early marker of their intention to compete.Young said: “It shows the desire and feel-good attitude around the place, they know that every game is going to be hard and a bit of a scrap.
