Aldi shoppers say 'low calorie' £2.49 fakeaway rivalling Itsu is 'incredible'

Foodies have been sharing their delight over a new "fakeaway" item from Aldi that looks similar to a very well known brand. As the cost of living continues to bite, many of us are giving up our weekly treats in order to get groceries from the supermarket.

Luckily, Aldi has been impressing shoppers with a range of takeaway-inspired dishes that don't break the bank. One of its newest additions is the Inspired Cuisine Bao Buns that have just dropped in-stores.

The freezer fakeaway is available in packs of six and they cost just £2.49 each, making them delicious and budget friendly. These soft steamed buns come in three different fillings for you to choose from - duck, chicken and vegetable.

Each filling has been marinated in a BBQ style sauce for extra flavour.Not only have shoppers called them low calorie, making them good for the summer diet, they are also very similar to Itsu's frozen Bao Buns which cost up to £4.25 for a packet of six from Tesco.Sharing its new fakeaway item on Instagram, Aldi wrote: "NEW FAVOURITE PRODUCT ALERT.
