Experts say aliens could be hiding 'just outside' solar system as 1,000 UFOs spotted in UK

Over the past two and a half years, nearly one thousand UFO sightings have been recorded in the UK.And it's been claimed that extra-terrestrial life could be trying to stay hidden by lurking "just outside" our solar system so that they are not detected by humans.To keep track of the unidentified aerial phenomena sightings in the country, an interactive map has been created logging where they all have been since January 2021 - with Glasgow being the current hotspot for the whole of the UK.The Mirror reports that the spotter website, UFO Identified, noted a total of 957 sightings, including 410 in 2021, 494 in 2022 and 53 as of May 20 this year.

A quarter of all sightings (25%) were of a 'star-like' object or objects, moving across the sky. The next most common sighting was of an unidentified object shaped like an 'orb' (17%), 'sphere', (10%) and 'cylinder' (9%).You can check out the interactive map below.

Ash Ellis, of UFO Identified, thinks there have been many more sightings that people have not reported. He said: "Despite progress being made in recent years to de-stigmatise the topic, there is still an air of trepidation when approaching the subject as the fear or ridicule is very prevalent. "There were almost 500 reported sightings in the UK last year, with likely many times that number going unreported showing that there is a genuine concern around unidentified phenomena being seen across the country."A scientist claimed earlier this year that aliens could be lurking just outside our solar system to avoid being detected by humans.

These dark areas, known as "terminator zones", include "sweet spots" where planets close to the solar system travel around different stars.
