Zoe Ball has spoken out in support of a controversial shake-up at Radio 2.The BBC have announced that former Take Me Out host Paddy McGuiness and singer and actor Michael Ball will be taking over the station's Sunday morning shows.
Michael, 61, will take over Steve Wright's Love Songs, following the tragic passing of Steve earlier this year. While Top Gear presenter Paddy, 50, will be fronting a brand new show.
Radio 2 Breakfast host Zoe, 53, has shown her support for the new hosts. Sharing her excitement on Instagram, she welcomed Paddy with a post captioned: "Welcome, Bolton massive." The announcement that Paddy will be joining the Radio 2 team has left listeners divided, with some taking to social media to express their disappointment.
One wrote: "Why does the BBC keep giving Paddy McGuinness DJ work?" "Why is Radio 2 replacing real DJ’s with people off the telly / comedians?
