Zirkzee joined United earlier this month in a deal worth £36.4m after an impressive campaign with Bologna, who he helped qualify for the Champions League for the first time in over 60 years.
But despite signing for United nearly two weeks ago, the 23-year-old had yet to begin training at the club's Carrington base as he enjoyed an extended holiday as a result of Holland's venture to the semi-finals of the European Championships. However, United have confirmed that he will remain in Manchester and will not be joining up with Ten Hag's squad in the United States ahead of friendlies against Real Betis and Liverpool.
