Manchester United co-owner Avram Glazer refused to comment on the takeover situation when approached by journalists following the 2-0 pre-season victory against Arsenal.
The Glazers announced a strategic review in November but, despite offers submitted by the Ineos Group and Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the family remain the United owners.
Sheikh Jassim has made an offer to buy 100 per cent of United which would lead to the Glazers leaving the club. INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe is his main rival but his bid is for approximately 60 per cent of the ownership rights which could open the door to the American family staying in some capacity. Saturday's pre-season clash with the Gunners was another opportunity to pose a question to the ownership as the 62-year-old Avram Glazer attended the fixture at the MetLife Stadium.
