Wrexham won 3-1 in San Diego. The Reds found themselves two goals down in the first half but a strike from Marc Jurado on the stroke of half-time cut the Welsh side's lead in half.
But United ended the game with 10 men after their captain on the night, Dan Gore, was harshly shown a straight red just two minutes into the second half, and they could not find an equaliser after Jurado's strike, with Wrexham's two-goal lead restored later on in the second half.
