'Warmth, caring and nurturing' at Ayrshire nursery in glowing inspection report

A Troon nursery has sailed through its latest inspection from the Care Inspectorate.Granny Smith’s Day Nursery, in the town’s Ayr Street, was graded ‘very good’ across two quality indicators and ‘good’ across two others.Among the key messages the Care Inspectorate said children experienced “warmth, caring and nurturing” approaches to support their wellbeing.Children also benefitted from “opportunities to explore their wider community,” including “regular visits” to a local school and nursing home.In addition, the service was “well led” by management who demonstrated their commitment to the quality and improvement of the service.The nursery’s ability to provide play, care and learning was graded ‘good,’ so too was the nursery’s setting.Leadership at the nursery was 'very good' and so was the staff team, according to the inspectors.
