CHANNEL 4 were left in tears as over Prue Leith's documentary that she made on assisted dying. The Great British Bake Off Star made a new TV programme, Prue and Danny's Death Road Trip, with her son, Conservative MP, Danny Kruger.

Prue, 82, was advocating the introduction of a bill to enable assisted dying for those who have terminal illnesses or mentally ill after her own brother "died the most horrible death".

The pair embarked on a road trip to places where assisted suicide was legal such as Canada to hear from experts and a wide range of guests.

Her son admitted at the end of the programme that he would not be supporting the bill when it went to parliament. The Channel 4 audience were split over the emotive documentary and they took to social media in droves.
