Two 'casualties' after firefighters race to house blaze with cordon in place

Two 'casualties' have been reported after a fire broke out at a house in Tameside. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said they were 'transferred into the care' of paramedics at the scene on Saturday afternoon.

Just click here to give it a go. Fire crews from three stations were called to the scene at around 2.50pm on Saturday afternoon on Brushes Avenue in Stalybridge, Tameside.

A specialist aerial appliance from Oldham was also called in as crews used water jets. A cordon was put in place around the incident.
