When you see Harry Maguire claiming he has a 'ridiculously high' winning record when starting at Manchester United, your first instinct may well be to scoff.
However, he does have a point, at least partly. Maguire has become a figure of fun to some, a lightning rod of ridicule. He has struggled for form in recent years to the point he has been booed by his own supporters - albeit in friendlies abroad rather than at Old Trafford - and everyone expected him to depart in the summer.
The 30-year-old was stripped of the captain's armband by Erik ten Hag in the off-season and lost his place as a regular starter just two games into the new manager's reign after costly errors in the defeats to Brighton and Brentford.
