Manchester United will reportedly soon trigger the year-long contract extension of Victor Lindelof to avoid him leaving for free next summer.
The Sweden captain sees his contract expire in 2024 and can talk to non-domestic clubs from January should his extension not be activated.
In March, he admitted he would assess his options at the end of the 2022/23 season after slipping down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag.
Lindelof actually finished the campaign with 35 appearances due to injuries to first-choice centre-backs Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez and ultimately stayed on for another season at Old Trafford.
