Roti, the Scottish-Indian restaurant which mashes up Scots and Indian cuisine with its unique fusion menu, is heading to Urmston.
It’ll be setting up shop on Flixton Road, bringing with it its haggis pakoras and signature Irn-Bru Negroni. Edinburgh-born owner Ryan Singh already has a branch of Roti at the Stanley Square development in Sale.
There, it has introduced a wealth of quirky dishes blending the dual heritages. So while there are recognisable favourites like a tarka daal, samosa chaat and sheekh kebabs, there are also dishes like the haggis pakora, ‘mince & tatties’ (spice pork mince with chole potatoes), and ‘wee poori parcels’, crisp, hollowed puris filled with yoghurt, chilli, tamarind chutney and masala spices.
