Kate Middleton felt 'sick' during Trooping the Colour due to 'uncomfortable' duty

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, took part in today's historical Trooping the Colour event to mark King Charles's 74th birthday.The senior royal has lavished in the very regal mode of transport to travel from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade as part of the monarch's annual birthday celebrations since joining the royal family when she tied the knot with Prince William.

But royal fans were concerned for the mum-of-three back in 2019 when she was left feeling a bit under the weather following the traditional carriage procession where she sat alongside Queen Camilla, then the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and Meghan.Some people speculated as to why she looked a little "off-colour" and not her usual smiling and glowing self.

Reports in the Mirror revealed that it was in fact the carriage ride that left Kate feeling somewhat sick due to the swaying motion.The late Queen Elizabeth was also said to suffer from motion sickness too, despite sailing in the Royal Yacht Britannia for 43 years, and had kindly recommended the pills she relied on to Kate.A royal source said at the time: "The truth is the Duchess of Cambridge gets very seasick and doesn’t enjoy the rocking motion of carriages.“Worrying she may be ill on such an important occasion as Trooping the Colour added to her stress."It comes as Kate is back in the carriages again for today's Trooping the Colour event which marks the first with King Charles as monarch following the sad death of his mother Queen Elizabeth last year.
