The 65 year old music legend is reportedly suffering from viral encephalitis - an inflammation of the brain caused by a virus.
Shane has been receiving treatment since last December, with his wife often sharing updates about him on social media. In Victoria’s latest update, she shared a touching photo of the singer beaming in his hospital bed as she shared the news that he had been released from St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin.
Victoria opened up to fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, and said: “Shane got out of the hospital! We are deeply and eternally grateful to all of the doctors and nurses and staff at St Vincent's it's the best!”.
