The family of a brave two-year-old girl say she is 'smashing' chemotherapy after being given a cancer diagnosis. Nori Love Hannon, who is 22 months old, was in recovery for an operation to reduce the size of her tongue when her parents were given the 'heartbreaking' news that doctors had discovered what appear to be two tumours in both her kidneys.
Nori was born eight weeks early in January 2022 with a rare condition called Beckwith–Wiedemann syndrome, which affects just one in every 15,000 infants.
It causes the enlargement of the tongue and kidneys, as well small pits in the ears.Her parents, Hayley Parker and Alex Hannon, managed to raise the money they needed for the two-year-old's much-needed surgery earlier this year. But following the procedure, doctors delivered news the family, from Preston, Lancashire had been 'dreading' reports Lancs Live.Due to the syndrome, the youngster is scanned every three months, particularly as is Nori at a higher risk of kidney cancer.
