Actor Bill Cobbs, who was known for his roles in movies including The Bodyguard and Night at the Museum, and TV series The Sopranos, has died aged 90 it has been announced.The actor won a Daytime Emmy at the age of 86 for his role in the series Dino Dana and appeared in more than 150 films and TV series during his career.
According to his brother Thomas, who broke the news on Wednesday via Facebook, Bill died on Tuesday 25 June. "We are saddened to share the passing of Bill Cobbs.
On Tuesday, June 25, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in California," read his post. "A beloved partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather and friend, Bill recently and happily celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by cherished loved ones.
As a family we are comforted knowing Bill has found peace and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father. We ask for your prayers and encouragement during this time." Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1934 and served in the US Air Force as a radar technician before working in offices and selling cars.
