Teenager dies after being found 'injured' in Edinburgh as cops launch investigation
dailyrecord.co.ukA teenager has died after being found injured on a street in Edinburgh this morning.The 18-year-old was discovered in Viewcraig Street in Dumbiedykes in the capital, at around 3.45am on Sunday.He was then rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh but died a short time later.
Police Scotland say the death is being treated as unexplained.Pictures have shown forensic officers combing the scene, with police remaining at the scene this afternoon.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Around 3.45am on Sunday, 12 February, 2023, officers were called to a report of an 18-year-old man found injured in Viewcraig Street, in the Dumbiedykes area of Edinburgh. "Emergency services attended and he was taken to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he died a short time later. "His next of kin are aware.
