Shameless star Tina Malone, 60, says she looks 40 after quitting booze and losing 12st

Tina Malone has said she’s “feeling sexy” as she turns 60 after turning her back on booze and dropping 12 stone in weight.The Shameless actress, who played matriarch Mimi Maguire until the show ended in 2013, says that she’s “proud” of being 60. “It’s a ripe old age and I look 40,” the star said, before explaining that people often question her age and tell her that she “can’t be 60” which she loves. “I love telling people,” she explained. “I feel the best I ever have - and I think I probably feel the sexiest I have in my life too.” She added to Closer Magazine that growing older has given her a fresh perspective and has made her more grateful.Tina explained that she’s been to a number of funerals over the past few years which has made her realise that “age is a privilege.” The soap star then said that she was planning to visit a different country for every month of 2023 and that she’s already been to Spain.

Next on the list is a trip to Rome in Italy and other destinations on her bucket list include Poland, the Netherlands and Los Angeles in the USA.Tina shared that she’ll be bringing her daughter Flame, who Tina welcomed just six years ago via surrogate, on her travels.The Shameless actress also has an older daughter, 40 year old Danielle, who branded her mum “insane” and “incredibly selfish” for having another baby at such a late age.Tina says that she hopes bringing Flame with her on her travels will allow them to “create memories” together.

The 60 year old actress also opened up about the facelift that she underwent last year, sharing that she was “over the moon” about how she looked.
